Route 2 allows candidates with a non-laboratory bachelor's degree to sit for the MLS(ASCP) exam — if they complete 16 biology credits and 16 chemistry credits from a regionally accredited institution. Here's exactly how to satisfy that requirement.
Start here. 8 credits, covers the cell biology and genetics foundation. Complete both semesters.
Run concurrently or after Bio. 8 credits. The prerequisite for all upper-division chemistry.
Complete your 16 biology credits. Micro adds direct clinical relevance; Genetics adds molecular diagnostics context.
Complete your 16 chemistry credits. Most directly relevant to the clinical chemistry section of the ASCP BOC exam.
Self-paced, regionally accredited, and accepted where it counts. No waitlist. No semester schedule.
