Changing careers into nursing is one of the most rewarding moves in healthcare. If you already have a degree or college credit, you may be closer than you think — the main thing between you and a program is usually a focused set of prerequisites.
If you hold a bachelor's degree in another field, an accelerated BSN (ABSN) program can take you to a BSN in as little as 12 to 16 months — once your science prerequisites are complete. If you have some college credit but no degree, a traditional BSN or ADN path may fit better. Either way, the prerequisites overlap heavily.
